Kape Hinayhan
Kape Hinayhan is a pop-up café I built in my garage, inspired by hinay (slow down) and pahingahan (resting place), serving bold, homemade coffee with flavors rooted in Filipino childhood memories.
I created the brand identity from scratch, including the logo, visual style, and packaging elements like custom cup stickers, establishing a consistent look and feel across all customer touchpoints. To engage the local community, I managed the café’s social media presence from scratch, posting daily updates on available menu items, café hours, and pop-up events. I also designed tarpaulins, creative menus, and other print materials reflecting Filipino-inspired flavors.
To reach more customers, I sometimes sold coffee roadside, bringing the brand directly to the community and gathering real-time feedback.
This project demonstrates my ability to combine branding, content creation, print and digital design, and real-world engagement, creating a cohesive identity and memorable experiences for customers while running day-to-day marketing and sales.
